Score: 95
Province: Mendoza
Grapes: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Aging: 3 years in French oak
What do you get when you combine
ungrafted French vines (almost unheard of in France!)
with years of barrel age and exquisite care of
experienced vintners? A flat-out stunner. The bouquet is
full of the exotic perfumes of a Levantine market, with
musk featuring prominently. In the mouth, it’s a basket
of blackberries and black and red currants, showing
lighter and darker shades by turns – a shifting prism of
flavor. The finish is long yet startlingly clean. As a
package, it’s the first 95-point wine on Argovino.
Bravo!
